Sylvania, GA – Several Injured in Fatal Accident at GA-301 & Old River Rd

Sylvania, GA (December 1, 2021) – At 9:19 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, November 30, a fatal accident occurred at an intersection in Sylvania.

According to Bulloch County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-301 and Old River Road. A 21-year-old female driver was traveling in the area when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to go off the side of the road. The vehicle crashed, which led to extensive damages as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A passenger, identified as a 20-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. It is not known if any other parties were injured in the accident.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
