Hazlehurst, GA – Two Killed in Fatal House Fire on Hallspur Rd
Hazlehurst, GA (December 2, 2021) – On Monday night, November 29, two people were killed in a fatal house fire in Hazlehurst.
According to Jeff Davis County officials, the incident happened at a single-family home on Hallspur Road. A structure suddenly caught on fire due to reasons that are not yet known. The fire blazed out of control until the entire home was covered in flames and smoke. Fire crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two victims were found inside the home and pulled out by fire crews. They were tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the area was blocked off for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
