Griffin, GA – Injuries Reported in Pedestrian Accident at GA-3 & Birdie Rd
Griffin, GA (November 2, 2021) – At 1:11 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 2, a pedestrian accident occurred at an intersection in Griffin.
According to Spalding County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-3 and Birdie Road. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they started to cross the street and were struck by a passenger vehicle. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the accident. The victim was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
