Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Collision with Injuries in NB Lanes of GA-400

Atlanta, GA (October 22, 2021) – At 11:35 a.m. on the morning of Friday, October 22, a tractor-trailer collision occurred on a major highway in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of exit 2, Lenox Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle for reasons that are not yet known. The tractor-trailer then jackknifed in the middle of the road. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. Their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the collision, all lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Peachtree Road as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
