Atlanta, GA – Rollover Accident on Hwy 166 Near Sylvan Rd Leads to Injuries

Atlanta, GA (December 3, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, December 2, a rollover accident occurred on a highway in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Highway 166 around the area of Sylvan Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles involved in the accident rolled over after the initial collision. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, the right lane of traffic was blocked for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use I-20 as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
