Atlanta, GA – Man Killed in Fatal House Fire on Jetal Pl
Atlanta, GA (December 19, 2021) – At 1:30 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, December 19, a man was killed in a fatal house fire in Atlanta.
According to officials, the fire broke out in a home at 500 Jetal Place. A caller contacted fire crews when they saw smoke coming from a home. Approximately 30 fire crews responded to the scene within minutes, where they found flames and heavy smoke pouring out of the home. When officials were able to get inside the home, they found a man lying in his bed.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to assist those in need. The man, who has not yet been identified, was unconscious at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries.
Fire crews were able to get the fire under control after some time. The home was severely damaged and fire crews boarded it up after the incident.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
