Atlanta, GA – Car Crash on I-85 Near Shallowford Rd Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (October 2, 2021) – At 1:49 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, October 2, a car crash with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to DeKalb County Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Shallowford Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, colliding with each other. One of the vehicles ran into the median as a result of the crash. The vehicles involved were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the collision. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the crash, two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
